Denver Days is one of the books in the Children of Colorado Series, which includes A Cabin in Cripple Creek and One Golden Summer. Expect more books in this fascinating series that are written at a Third or Fourth Grade level. The interesting plots will, however, appeal to children (and adults) of all ages.
